BEN BROOKS was born in 1992 and lives in Gloucestershire, England. He is the author of five other books Lolito, Grow Up, Fences, An Island of Fifty, and The Kasahara School of Nihilism. Brooks’s work has won the Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize, the Somerset Maugham Prize, and has been longlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize.
